I’m a few days late with my May favourites but better late than never hey! Here are a few things I have loved using throughout the month.
First up is this gorgeous smelling candle from one of my favourite stores, Anthropology. I was lucky enough to get it on sale from the Regent’s Street store from £19.50 to £9.50. It smells of candy, a sweet, berry type fragrance if that makes sense. These goodies are from Primark, I bought a few packs of these bangles which were a bargain at £1. I had a few wedding recently and they are a nice finishing touch to any outfit. I couldn’t resist this flamingo mug, I wouldn’t personally use it to drink from but as an accessory on my desk or for my makeup brushes. It adds a little colour and fun to my life! This is my new favourite bread to replace “ordinary” bread. I usually buy it from Amazon but you can get it from health food stores like Planet Organic. I toast it and have it with mashed avocado or boiled egg and it’s delish! Here are my beauty favourites for the month.
First up is tea tree oil as I’ve been a little spotty lately. After cleansing my face I dab a little on each spot and it seems to calm them down and leave them less irritated.
Next is the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue foundation in Spice. It’s literally been my saviour since February and let’s me leave the house feeling like a put together human being. I’ve used it to replace my Mac Face and Body which I was using on a daily basis but I started to find it too heavy and it would leave me feeling greasy by the end of the day – but don’t get me wrong I still love my Mac, just not for daily use. The BareMinerals is a lightweight consistency and you really don’t need much for an even coverage, which is great if you have spots because you don’t want to clog your pores.
I’ve been loving Maxfactor’s Masterpiece mascara this month. This has been a make up staple for years but I stepped away from it to experiment with other mascaras but coming back to it I realise why I love it so much. The brush is a perfect size not to thick or thin, which is great for separating lashes. The reason I love this mascara so much is because you can build it with a few layers and it has the look of false lashes but in a classy way. My tip would be to build while the mascara is wet on the lashes as it drys pretty quick.
Lastly we have my fragrance, from Benetton. I believe it comes in HOT or COLD and I love the fragrance so much, it’s just so fresh and fruity. The only place I have ever found it is at duty free in Dubai though!
I hope you’ve enjoyed learning about what I’ve been loving in the month of May!
